They are refined by washing with clean saturated salt brine to remove surface impurities, drained of excess moisture, dried, and screened to size. \u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003eThe salts are \u003cstrong\u003enot iodized\u003c\/strong\u003e.  The ingredients are gluten free and processed with equipment that is only used to make Hot Salt. A fast press pulverizes the salt more thoroughly and creates a slightly finer grind.
